Horizon's Round-up of Events For Young People
POINT // Friday 30th August
QMusic, Sunshine Coast Creative Alliance and Horizon Festival is pleased to announce the lineup for the first annual POINT. Taking over The Events Centre, Caloundra for the ultimate party, POINT is especially for the Coast’s young people (15 years and over) and will showcase some of the most exciting local and interstate talent.
This year Hilltop Hoods collaborator and inspirational Melbourne artists Adrian Eagle will headline the event ahead of Gold Coast rising star DVNA who has clocked up more than 1 millions streams across her recent releases. Brisbane funk disco 6 piece First Beige, psychedelic jazz artists Sycco and Sunny Coasts very own JJJ Unearthed Big Pineapple opener Dorah Jacson round out the lineup for 2019.

SNAKE SESSIONS // Tuesday 27th August – Saturday 31st August
Sydney company Branch Nebula brings their breath-taking, anarchic street-style performance to the Alex Head’s skate park. Branch Nebula’s team will infiltrate the park for a whole week, jamming moves and tricks with the locals and building up for a spectacular improvised performance at the end. With a live drummer driving the action, bodies and wheels collide, race each other, and blur into one.
To be involved, just drop in to Alex Headlands skate park during the week Tue 27 - Fri 30 Aug, 10:00am – 4:30pm + Sat 31 Aug 2-5pm.
